Being apologetic constantly, trying to occupy less space, and feeling like a nuisance aren’t necessary and not remotely endearing at all.
I never considered it to be a hassle to help or allocate my time for others, but when it came to me, I felt the need to say sorry if people had to do anything for me in general.
It was brought to my attention a while ago that the constant apologies are annoying and made things all about me, not about the people that are helping me.
So I’ve made it my mission to slowly transition the phrase “i’m sorry” to “thank you”.
Instead of feeling bad, be grateful that you have people in your life that you can count on and validate your friendship with appreciation.
Say sorry if you fucked up ofc. But if your apology can be replaced with gratitude, I’m sure it will make everyone’s day better. ❤️
